Individual Therapy
I offer individual therapy for adults (18+) in person and online. You might come in with a specific concern or just a sense that something inside you needs attention. Either way, this is a space where we can explore, reflect, and work together toward meaningful change.
Examples of What We Can Work On
Anxiety, stress, burnout or overwhelm
Depression, including high-functioning depression
Low self-esteem, impostor feelings, or perfectionism
Migration stress or cultural adjustment
Grief, loss, or significant life transitions
Relationship or attachment wounds
Personal growth or the desire to understand yourself better
What to Expect
In the first few sessions, I will focus on getting to know you, understanding your concerns and needs, and making sure we are the right fit to work together. From there, the pace and direction of our work will follow what feels most helpful for you. Some days, we may explore deeper emotional patterns and underlying dynamics; other days, we might focus on practical strategies you can apply in daily life. Throughout, I aim to offer a supportive and confidential space where you can explore what matters most to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, you don’t need a diagnosis or a specific problem to benefit from therapy. Some people come to explore challenges like anxiety, depression, or difficult life experiences, while others come because they want to understand themselves more deeply or focus on personal growth.
-
At its heart, my approach is to listen with interest and compassion and to be your ally as we explore what matters to you. I’m trained in the relational psychodynamic approach, which is the foundation of how I work. For more details, please see the About Me page.
-
You don’t need to do anything special to prepare for your first session. Just come as you are. It’s completely okay if you’re unsure where to start, we’ll work together to figure out what feels most important to focus on.
-
In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what has brought you here and what you hope to achieve, but there’s no pressure to tell everything at once. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
-
It often takes a few sessions to get a solid sense of whether we’re a good fit. You’re always free to reflect, share feedback, and decide if you want to continue. If I feel another type of support might suit you better, I’ll discuss this openly and help with referrals where possible.
-
That depends on what you want to work on. Some people come for a few focused sessions; others engage in longer-term work. We’ll check in regularly about your goals and progress.

I warmly welcome clients from many walks of life. Still, there are some areas I’m not able to work with, such as substance dependence, psychosis, active suicidality, or legal matters like court assessments or forensic evaluations. This list isn’t exhaustive, but if I feel you would benefit from a different service, I will always discuss this openly with you. My goal is to ensure that my skills and experience are the right match for your needs. Seeking support takes courage, and you deserve help that truly fits your situation. Where possible, I’m happy to offer referrals or suggestions to help you find the right support.

I can assist with WINZ subsidy applications and provide documentation if your private insurance or employer covers therapy with a registered psychotherapist.

With advances in technology, online therapy has made it easier to overcome physical distance and improve access to care. However, it is not without its limitations. You will need a private, uninterrupted space and a secure internet connection for your sessions. Some people find they connect best in person. Certain aspects of the body–mind connection, such as working with nervous system responses, can be harder to fully engage with online. We can discuss together whether online or in-person sessions might best support you.
